BOTTER is a Menswear brand created by Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh. Both graduates of the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, their collection won the Grand Jury Prize at the 33rd Festival de Hyeres. It pays tribute to their Caribbean roots while promoting an ethical commitment. One of the jackets caught our attention. It is hand knitted in Paris with recycled plastic bands, silk yarns and mohair yarns. As for denim, it is made of recycled plastic bag, painted by hand.
ROMBAUT is a brand of vegan shoes for men, whose creator Mats Rombaut is based in Belgium. This is the first luxury shoe brand for men, eco-conscious. They are made of Pinatex: pineapple leather and bamboo fiber. Its latest line “Boccaccio Cycle” is a limited edition of sneakers and shoes made from recycled plastic waste collected from the ocean, and also recycled polyester, natural rubber and recycled cork.
EDUN is a luxury women’s ready-to-wear brand founded by Ali Hewson. It is an ethical and social fashion that participates in fair trade. The clothes are made in Africa with local manufacturers and craftsmen with local expertise. Each model is made of natural material, biodegradable or recycled with the greatest respect for nature. The company also has solar panels to reduce the environmental impact.
