glossIER ANNOUNCES A NEW PROJECT: GLOSSIER PLAY

The cosmetics brand Glossier, created in 2014 by Emilie Weiss, the former blogger, suggests that a new brand will be launched in March 2019. Following a publication on their Instagram account ; « @GlossierPlay,our new brand is coming in March 2019. After two years in the making, we can’t wait for you to see, touch, hear, swatch, and play with what’s to come ». Glossier Play is still a mystery, but it already gathers more than 50,000 followers on Instagram with only one picture : glitter logo.

THE FOUNDER OF MADE.COM CREATES A FASHIONABLE VEGAN COSMETIC BRAND

Ning Li, creator of  Made.com, furniture and decoration website, which in 2018 achieved a turnover of 200 million euros, launches a new project: the creation of a natural cosmetic and recyclable packaging brand, which has already raised 10 million euros. This brand is based on the observation that the personalization and transparency of products are important values for consumers. Launched last week, Typology.com website offers 3 lines, the first « Raw » composed of raw ingredients for DIY, the second « Lab » : serums and finally « Ten » treatments that contain less than 10 ingredients. Niang Li wanted to get back to basics with as few ingredients as possible, and a 100% French production.

IEVA : THE CONNECTED POP-UP STORE COMBINING JEWELLERY, HEALTH & TECHNOLOGY

The Ieva pop-up store opens on March 1st, 2019, for a month in the Marais district of Paris. This French brand, created in 2016, offers “jewellery”, regarded as life companions and makes it possible to combine environment and health thanks to different sensors on the jewel. Connected to a mobile application, the jewel allows you to receive a personalized beauty routine, adapted to your lifestyle. The system takes into account the environment (pollution, weather conditions…) but also the person who wears it: stress level, diet… Advice on beauty products, food, lifestyle habits are sent, to pay more attention to yourself.

I.T THE CHINESE MULTI-BRAND DEVELOPS ITS PARISIAN DIGITAL POP-UP STORE

This week in the 4th area of Paris opened I.T, the Chinese multi-brand pop-up store created in 1988 in Hong Kong. This concept store present a selection of very specific unique pieces, and also its exclusive collaborations for the event with brands such as Acne, Alexander McQueen and Ann Demeulemeester. This place, organized with Sarah Andelman (ex Colette), does not display the clothes on the traditional wearers but offers a real digital shopping, clothes in 3D form, or projected on the walls. Real digital kiosks, customers can buy via the application or once the pop-up store is finished, they will find the pieces on iteshop.com.

A NEW DESIGN FOR CELINE BOUTIQUES

On Monday, February 18, Celine presents its new retail concept at its flagship store in Madison Avenue, New York. Hedi Slimane, the artistic director, has created minimalist and refined boutiques with a geometric architecture, iconic elements dear to his style. Also, artists will exhibit their creations to bring out know-how and an even more artistic dimension to this boutique. The reinterpretation of the sales areas also makes it possible to support the launch of the men’s ready-to-wear line, which will be introduced in the brand’s various stores.
