LONDON SS19!

Blue sky, flowers, stripes … all you need to know about London fashion week as if you were there!

SKY BLUE

The color that English women do wear better than anyone else, especially on total-look lace like at Erdem! A color to be also shifted in sporty version (thanks, House of Holland) or with a touch of yellow like at Richard Malone.

CONSTRUCTIVISM

Proportions are re-designed, lengths are asymetrical and lines are in the bias : For her 10 years of fashion, Victoria Beckham presented a perfect and contemporary collection with ultra-controlled cuts, closely followed by JW Anderson in a more casual version.

PUFFY SHOULDERS

A slight Victorian atmosphere hovers above some London collections, while others look on the 80’s side; as a result, sleeves and shoulders swell inexorably, sometimes evoking this british pastry so … well, so british.

RED FLOWERS

Let’s be clear: a London fashion week without flowers, it simply does not exist! And especially on the spring-summer collections. This season, florals are mainly worked in almost vermilion red tones and on long or maxi dresses.

THE NET DRESS

Several London designers have a nomadic trend, with openwork materials and maxi lengths, sometimes accompanied by fringes. As a key silhouette of this story, the long net dress, in-between the urban amazon and the city mermaid.

SILKY STRIPES

The alternative to flowers are the wide stripes printed on silky fabrics, often in total-look like at Roksanda or Duro Olowu. For his first collection at Burberry, Ricardo Tisci offers us the stripes declined from the famous checks.
