THE NEW APPLE CARD

On Monday, March 25, Apple revealed the Apple Card, a credit card that will be available free of charge in both virtual and physical format. Developed in partnership with Mastercard and Goldman Sachs, it can be used by all brands accepting Mastercard payments. It will also be coupled with an application to manage budgets with precision. Unlike a traditional credit card, it does not display a card number or cryptogram, making it a more secure card.  The card will be released in the United States only next summer.

The famous sports chain Equinox will open its first hotel in Hudson Yards in Manhattan in June 2019. This hotel, combined with an Equinox gym club, has been designed for people looking for a balance between work, pleasure and physical activity when travelling. Thus, it has several particularities: clients will have access to professional sleep coaches, nurses will be available to administer restorative injections that boost and hydrate intensely. The rooms will also be equipped with vitamins, face masks, yoga mats, fitness equipment, dietary supplements to promote sleep.

Mcdonald announced the purchase of Dynamic Yield, a company that develops customer journey personalization solutions through A.I. This purchase is intended to transform Mcdonald’s digital touchpoints with customers. Customization will be done both according to each customer and external factors: if it is very hot, a McFlurry will be presented as the “preferred” choice, with special offers. If there is an event nearby that attracts a demographic group of teenagers, the menu will prioritize low-cost offers for a student budget…

HILTON HOTELS RECYCLE USED SOAPS

The Hilton hotel chain has decided, as part of its sustainable development strategy, to recycle the soaps used partially in their hotel rooms. This initiative, in collaboration with social enterprise Clean the World, aims to recondition one million soaps by 15 October 2019, which is “Global Washing Day”. The recycled soaps will then be redistributed to people in need.

HASBRO ANNOUNCES A HOTEL WHERE GUESTS PAY WITH THEIR CULTURAL KNOWLEDGES

In Russia, Hasbro, the company that created the famous cultural knowledge game Trivial Pursuit, launched its first ephemeral hotel. A communication operation that offers hotel guests the opportunity to pay for their stay and obtain services by taking part in general knowledge quizzes. It will open its doors between May 20 and June 14, 2019 in a four-star complex near Moscow.
