GLASSES OF THE FUTURE!
After Microsoft, Google and Snapchat, Facebook is the next digital giant to be interested in connected glasses. For this, Facebook have decided to collaborate with Ray-Ban. Indeed, the project called “Orion” is under preparation. A very ambitious project for Facebook that wants to replace smartphones with these glasses connected! The glasses are able to make calls, show information on a small screen, and even stream live. The glasses Facebook x Ray-Ban are planned for the year 2023, 2025 at the latest.

CARLIN’S POINT OF VIEW: The combination of skills, if proven successful, could promise not only smart glasses but also trends. Because the AI, whether disturbing or promising, could not be adopted without style!

BACK TO THE MOON!
NASA has once again in its sights the Moon, this time to bring astronauts in 2024. The purpose of the Artemis mission is to build eventually a space station on our natural satellite. In less than a year, the satellite called “Cubesat” that will serve as a bridge for these astronauts will fly to establish lunar orbit. It will wait wisely astronauts who have already started intensive training. This new mission is a first step to reach later, Mars.

GOOGLE PLAYS WITH PHYSICS…
Google claims to have crossed the threshold of “quantum supremacy”. In the frantic race between the giants of computing, the American company announces to be the first to have designed a superior and viable quantum computer. Its researchers have said that their processor can perform an operation in three minutes and twenty seconds where it would take 10,000 years at most advanced computers today. Quantum computers could transform domains such as cryptography, chemistry or artificial intelligence.

CARLIN’S POINT OF VIEW: In January 2019, IBM unveiled at CES the first 20-bit “compact” quantum computer called IBM Q System One. Many companies and university researchers around the world are now focusing on quantum control, because even if no one is able to build a real universal quantum computer performance, the winner of this “qubits race” could dominate especially the securing of our datas, so of our future lives.
