This year, The Salone del Mobile & « the Off Course » (Fuorisalone) have not failed in their reputation. Beyond the usual districts such as Brera, we have found promising discoveries in the district of 5life and in the new space Ventura Future via Tortona.

In addition to the many novelties of the brands, we have found the scneographies to always be more spectacular but also an encouraging promotion for sustainibility!

What are the essentials of the 2019 edition? These are 10 of the highlights of Carlin!

01- 3 HIGHLIGHTS SCENOGRAPHIES

Precious for the brand image as much as for the promotion of products, the scenography is divided into several parts this year such as: the most authentic and natural plant decorations, the luminous exhibitions, often holographic and very attractive ( seen for exemple at Samsung, Sony or Tides for Noroo) or raw set designs and materials staged (i.e. Hermès stone labyrinth or the lower space of the Hemma Gone Wild installation) .

02 – SWEET VITAMINS

For colours, we focus on red tones & acid yellows. The smooth red tint fluctuates between raspberry pink to brick orange. They’ve been worked in soft shades or in matte & massive flat-tint. The yellows are greenish, almost anise, they energize the mood and add freshness.

03- MARBLE MANIA

The Marble effects never cease to upgrade our interiors! From the design to the accessories there’s a large selection. Tints are clear and lightly coloured, for design with charismatic power.

04- WOODEN MIX’N MATCH

Glass, marble or leather: The wood plays in pairs to compose new hybrid and very sophisticated pieces.

05- SOFT WHITES

Soft and fluffy, the seating is comfortable from many design houses. The winning equation? Curvilinear shapes with soft material + immaculate design!

06- CLEAN LEATHER WORK

In camel tones : the material is pleated, quilted and punched.. The most important thing? A stylish and clean finish.

07- CIRCLE OBSSESSION

Round shapes: the inspiration « To the Moon and back » plays on mural compositions, graphic spheres and delicate lines.

08- CURVES, CRUVES AND MORE CURVES!

Softness in curves is also seenin the seating. Erase the right angles & adopt colours to create minimal & ergonomic design.

09- POP FRINGES

Long live fringe details! Maximized & colorful, Fringe takes possession of the walls! In mirror details at Tero Kuitunen or in graphic colorblocks at Palermouno.

10- GO UPCYCLING !

The highlight and most promising part of the show is the enthusiasm for sustainable design. In addition to the many discoveries at the Rossana Orlandi gallery, there were several projects with recycled materials in Milan. From student projects to famous designers, the enthusiasm to the planet makes its place. These concepts include recycled ceramics at Fabrique Publique or Valentin Bufler & Georgia Von le Fort, Natalys Rodriguez’s pineapple leather seat or Highsociety’s tobacco leaf fixtures. Go upcycling !
